Italy Visa Requirements

Italy is a pleasant holiday destination for a plethora of purposes. The stunning nation is renowned for its historical landmarks, fantastic museums, designer brands, picturesque beaches, and stunning natural landscapes. The distance between Dubai and this European destination is not too long, and numerous airlines provide cheap flights there. Looking to visit Italy and learn about its history, culture and cuisine? This post will guide you on how to apply for an Italy visa in Dubai.

Italy Visa Type:

It is essential to determine the type of visa required before your Italy visit. The visa fees, forms to submit, document requisite, photo specifications, and processing time may differ based on the type of visa you are applying for. Short-term visa categories fall under Tourist visas, Visit visas, and Business visas. Those who wish to stay in Italy for a short time can apply for an Italy visa.

Since Italy is part of the Schengen agreement, one may opt for a Schengen visa to take optimum benefits of your travel. As per this agreement, you may freely travel to 26 European counties without a visa. These countries include Germany, France, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Spain, Denmark, Sweden, Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Portugal, Slovakia, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Norway, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Slovenia, and Belgium.

Italy Schengen Visa will allow travelers to visit the Schengen countries for business or tourism purposes for up to 90 days within a period of six months. If you opt for a multiple-entry Schengen Visa, you may exit and re-enter the Schengen countries numerous times within the six months frame or 180-day period. The only criterion is you cannot overstay for more than 90 days in a designated area.

It ideally takes up to 15 business days for your visa to get processed from the date you submit the documents.
